Aetna is offering resources to all associates impacted by Hurricane Ian through their Resources for Living program. Example on how Aetna Resources for Living can help include:

•    Referrals to local resources for shelter, food, transportation, and other services
•    Debrief on severe and potentially traumatic experiences they've had or seen
•    Help to rebound from the high-stress event they've experienced
•    Referrals for self-care services
•    Stress management strategies
•    Emotional support for their family members who know their loved ones were/are in danger
•    Counseling on grief and loss
•    Techniques for talking with children in aftermath of disasters like these

Customer Care will approve one-time emergency refills of a 10-day supply of medication for affected members in these areas.  

Affected members within the emergency area taking specialty medications will be contacted to discuss alternate delivery arrangements, if needed. The use of courier services will be engaged as necessary. If an override is needed for a Specialty medication, Specialty operations will contact Account Management for approval.

Financial Tips for Recovering from Natural Disasters

If you have been affected by the recent disaster, no-cost eye care and replacement eyewear are available, whether you are currently a VSP member or not.

Any VSP member who has lost or broken their eyewear due to Hurricane Ian can call our Member Services Support Line at 800-877-7195 to have their VSP benefits reinstated regardless of eligibility.

Individuals without VSP coverage can contact their local American Red Cross chapter and request a VSP Global Eyes of Hope gift certificate.
